What’s the Secret Behind the Closed Door?
Odisha is a beautiful little state of India where people from different parts of India and even outside India flock to visit various places of interest. This Odisha has a temple which is almost 700 years old, and you will be surprised to hear that one door i.e. the main door of this temple is closed for the last 120 years. what’s the secret behind the closed door? Many people feel that the Indian government deliberately does not want to open the doors of this temple because some unknown fear works in them. This temple is a place around which various mysteries work in the minds of people. If we talk about how this temple started, then of course I cannot give you any specific information because there is a lot of difference of opinion about who actually built this temple. Some think that a famous king built this temple. Many say a religious reason for the beginning of this temple. The religious reason is that Lord Krishna’s son built this temple dedicated to Suryadev after doing penance. Although it is only people’s belief, no one has any proof about it, but coming to the real point, why there are many mysteries in people’s minds around this temple. Historians say that there was a huge magnet placed on the top of this temple, which was used to maintain the temple. This magnet was so strong that when a ship passed by the river or sea, it had the power to attract and destroy the ship. It is said that because of the magnet located in this temple, the Muslim kings were not able to benefit, so they tricked and removed the magnet from the temple to facilitate their invasion of Orissa. After removing this magnet, the fractional state of this temple starts because many people say that this magnet is the creator of this temple i.e. as long as that magnet exists this temple will be protected. It may even be said that this temple will not exist in the near future.
Now the point that we will highlight is the most surprising that even though it is a temple there is no deity image in it but no one can say anything about how that image disappeared from here. Many believe that the idol of Lord Surya from this temple has been hidden from here and kept in the Jagannath temple, although it is said that there is no such idol in the Jagannath temple or many say that Lord Surya is kept in some secret room of the Jagannath temple. However, no one can give a clear explanation as to why so much secrecy is required. Again an opinion prevailed that the statue was smuggled abroad by the Muslim kings. Because this idol was made of precious metal which they stole this idol hoping to make a lot of money by selling it but now no one has any information about which country in the world this idol is.
Then another chapter of wonder began. In the early 1900s, when the British ruled India, they decided to close the doors of this temple forever for some reason, although they did not reveal the reason behind this decision. After that almost 50 years passed, and India became independent, and an elected government was formed in India but strangely even today in 2024 the Indian government has not taken any decision to open the doors of this temple. Yes, it is known that many times in the past initiatives were taken by the Indian government to open the doors of this temple but every time an initiative was taken, for one reason or another the Indian government finally decided not to open the doors of this temple so many people say that there are many behind these doors. The Indian government does not want the secret comes out anyhow. Or many also say that the Indian government does not want to open this temple because the Indian government feels that the existence of this Bhakta base temple depends only on its main door if for some reason the door is opened, and the temple is completely destroyed. Then maybe the common people can point fingers at the Indian government, so the Indian government does not want to take any risk and wants to keep the door of these recessions closed like this.
