Brutal Violence against women in India
In today’s society in India where there is relevant oppression on women and on one side people are saying that women’s clothes are responsible for it. In fact, even if we were educated in modern education, we could not become educated in the real sense, so our thinking towards girls is getting dirty. When we ourselves commit a misdeed, we pre-arrange how to suppress it, and finally we blame it on the clothes of the girls that the accident befell them. Honestly the image of India has become so bad that India usually means the country of rapists because it really hurts me when I talk to foreigners, they tell me their negative thoughts about India.
There was an incident in the village next to where I live. It was about five years ago. A child was molested by a minor boy. How can it be said in this case? And the child’s condition was so bad that I feel ashamed to describe his physical condition. In fact, this happens all the time in our society, we just try to suppress it. It is a bitter but true fact that in India especially in a male dominated society men’s attitudes towards women are getting toxic and as a result women are never safe. There have been cases in some places though these are exceptional cases but it must be mentioned that even the father was not safe with his daughter i.e. the father also did all these dirty deeds with the daughter subsequently the father was caught and punished according to his law.
I don’t have anything to say about the law but what I can say is that from the beginning i.e. when a child is born he should be mentally prepared so that he sees the society as a family. He should be educated in such a way that he doesn’t grow up to be a beast, he becomes a real man and has that positive attitude towards women. Those who think that security cameras should be kept around to keep women safe is not a good enough idea because until people change their mentality, it is never possible to prevent brutal incidents on women. I think that everything that happens in this world originates from the hateful mentality of people. Until this mentality is changed, we will not be able to free this society from corruption.
I am currently engaged in a job and due to work I have to stay far away from home in urban areas and while in urban areas I collect food from a local hotel. I have noticed that a woman has arrived in that hotel for a few days. It is very likely that the woman may be a relative of the owner of the hotel or a member of his family. In every person who came to that hotel, I noticed a very sensual attitude towards that woman, their attitude was very negative, which was easily understood by six sense. So my question is if for some reason they get that woman alone then the same thing will happen to that woman as we have seen recently in RG Kar in Kolkata or similar in other places.
It’s not that people who are doing these things are uneducated most of them are educated but still their mentality remains like that beast they haven’t changed maybe they look at their mother and sister in the same way. Many a times I myself have seen when I take my sister or mother or other women on a bike other men look at them in such a lustful way that I myself feel insufferable then I can’t imagine the emotional state of those women. Until men start thinking of women as human beings and not as objects of enjoyment, such incidents will continue to happen in our society.
