How ISKON has promoted Sanatan or Hindu religion all over the world?
ISKON of which full form International Society for Krishna Consciousness formed in 1966. This organization was founded by Swami Prabhupada. If it is seen that their thinking is traditional, but their method is completely different from other basic thinking, they have free thinking and they consider every word given by Lord Krishna as the only ideal of their life. Taking devotion as their path, they have built their own institutions one after another all over the world. After Swami Vivekananda the practice of Hinduism was almost stopped all over the world but now it has started again under the hands of ISKCON which is a good thing for Hinduism and Sanatan religion. One of the main duties of ISKCON is to deliver Srimad Bhagavata Gita, the holy book of Hinduism and the message of Lord Krishna to every corner of the world.
If you go to the school, you will see that every visitor who comes here as well as the monks who stay here are always chanting the Hare Krishna mantra. In fact, ISKCON believes that only by chanting this mantra is it possible to get rid of this world and this life of suffering. Swami Prabhupada was born in a Vaishnava household and he spent his whole life only for the propagation of Krishna and today he is well respected all over the world and considered as a role model by every Sanatani. He did not calm down only by spreading the message of Hinduism and Lord Krishna among the people. Rather, he provided food, clothing and shelter to all the poor people who were there. In fact, he thought that not only should he preach the message of Lord Krishna, but he should stand by the common people. Which is also the word of God so he has supported every word of Lord Krishna in a practical way. International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is a spiritual organization with members from all over the world. ISKCON membership is open to those interested in learning about and practicing Krishna Consciousness. ISKCON members can include people from any cultural or religious background and can be of any age or profession.
ISKCON members are expected to follow the principles and practices of the organization, which are based on the teachings of Lord Krishna as presented in the Bhagavad Gita and other Vedic scriptures. This includes the practice of devotional worship, which may include chanting the Hare Krishna mantra and participating in other devotional activities.
ISKCON members may also be involved in the organization’s charitable work, such as distributing food to the needy through the Food for Life program, or in other activities designed to promote the teachings of Lord Krishna and the practice of Krishna Consciousness.
It is said that ISKCON is one of the main focal points for Sanatan Dharma i.e. Hinduism which is spreading all over the world because ISKCON has developed its programs in such a way that they are not limited to preaching religion only, they have taken various other programs apart from preaching religion through which they each Able to reach people. Just as ISKCON provides food for poor people on one hand, their educational culture paves the way for improvement in action, i.e. through all these activities people not only improve in their religious life but also their social and economic life and move towards many developments. Through the devotional side given by Lord Krishna they progress and from progress they reach into people’s lives encouraging them to fight with all the problems in their daily life and bring them to the path of Dharma and gradually they are influenced by Lord Krishna. This is the way ISKCON works. However, although the organization has progressed in many directions and has done a lot of social service work, due to their limited resources, they are not able to implement many of their agendas, so all the organizations or kind-hearted people who want to help ISKCON, the help that will be useful to people, they can definitely come forward. They was always with people, and in this way, through devotion, through the words of Lord Krishna, they taught men to walk, and showed every man the path of liberation from this worldly society.
