It is better not to covet the things of others. Hard work is the best thing to achieve
If you work hard for something, it will stay with you for life, but if you take possession of someone else’s money or property, it will never be yours forever. Success never comes to those who are afraid to work hard. It is not bad to want to get something but you must put in the necessary effort and through that you can get that thing. If you think that I will take possession of any money or property earned by the labor of others, then it will be a curse for you and you will never get its full enjoyment. There are also times that if you somehow take possession of other’s property which is not your right then it can become a thorn in your neck in future.
I will share with you a related incident, a truck was going through the high road and there were 70 TVs in that truck and I am talking about the time when TV was not available in even one house in the whole village. That is to understand the current market value of a TV and more importantly the fact that TV was a luxury item for people back then and not available to everyone. The truck carrying the TV somehow overturned and the driver was seriously injured. All the TVs fall in the street and local people get a good opportunity to take the TVs home with them. But some people brought two TV sets.
From whom I heard this incident, he went to uncle’s house and this incident happened in the area of his uncle’s house. Incidentally, his uncle brought home two TVs. He was very greedy to see two TVs at his uncle’s and he wanted one but uncle didn’t want to give him so he was trying to tell him indirectly that he couldn’t give him either of the two TVs. The nephew felt very humiliated by not getting a TV and in his heart he wished that his uncle didn’t have it anyway. In the end what happened was that the company that actually overturned the truck was a very well-recorded company, the owner of that company called the local police station and the police came from the police station and started house-to-house searches of every villager. beat up everyone and found out the truth and recovered the TVs and beat that uncle even more because he had not one but two TVs. Seeing this, Nephew’s wish was fulfilled and he began to feel very happy.
The person who was telling me this story was the nephew of that time. He was telling the story with so much joy that I could still understand that the memory of two TVs that passed away from his uncle’s hands are still there in his mind and he was telling us that story with great joy. I don’t know how hard his uncle brought those two TVs to his house but he never got to enjoy those two TVs because he didn’t deserve them. One of the lessons of this story is that we should not focus on the other’s thing. Try hard and work hard to achieve that thing. Then that thing is only yours and no one can take that thing away from you.
