 Famous Temple of Banshberia

Hans Eshwari Temple is located in Banshberia, Hooghly district of West Bengal, India. It is the famous temple of Banshberia area. The Hanseswari temple is characterized by 13 peaks. The peaks in the temple are made of terracotta with lotus flowers. Here Ma kali Shakti is worshiped as Haneswari. The idol, made of neem wood, was built in the 19th century by King Ni Singha Dev and his wife Sankari devi Hanseswari Temple. There is an idol of Mahadev here. It is a pilgrimage and tourist center. The temple premises are open from 6 AM to 12 PM and 4 PM to 6:00 PM. Daily coupons are distributed to devotees who have to cut minimum coupons. Bhog distribution time is 12 pm to 3 pm. Nearest railway station is Banshberia. Distance from Howrah to Banshberia is about 40 km. There are many local trains from Howrah station and buses are also available.
