A Cursed Village
Kuldhara, set in the 13th century, was once a prosperous village inhabited by the Paliwal Brahmins bow it is known to people as a cursed village and also one of the top haunted spots of India. Salim Singh, then diwan of Jaisalmer, wanted to marry the daughter of the village chief. He demanded her hand in marriage, but the girl didn’t want to. Afraid of what might happen if they refuse a powerful noble, the villagers sought refuge in flight rather than submission. But before leaving the village, they put a curse on it. At the one night 84 families about 600 men left that village. Now this village is totally empty for the last 170 years.
Indian government wanted it’s best so that this place should be again crowed by people, but nobody wants to live here. Now also you can see the hustle of Salim Singh but usually people do not go there because they get very strange sounds from that hustle. At night strange sounds come from this place. Totally it is a empty village. Now this village is under Archeological department of Government.
At night if anybody goes, they somehow, he will die. Even many tourists reported that cameras do not work there. Paranormal experts say their devices find a lot of negative energy live at that place. As per one local old man many things happen at here, but people do not want to say this to outsiders because they believe if anybody expose these he will be harmed by souls. Akshay Kumar also came here for shotting purpose. Even some film makers also reported some paranormal events happened with them during shotting. Beliefs among the locals that even if you will find so many useful things at this place but you should not bring these at your home. If you do so, then you have to suffer for it.
Many tourists reported that when they returned from that spot to home, they noticed feet prints of kids on the glass of cars. Rajasthan government built a big wall around the village along with a gate where nobody is allowed to stay there at night. Transport facilities is very popular to reach here because drivers also avoid this horror place. The weather is very cold, but it is not normal because Jaisalmer which is considered very hot place in India is not so far from Kuldhara.
Salim Singh, who was very rude person, killed so many people and raped many women. People say father of Salim Singh was killed by a king whom under he used to work. the allegation against him was theft money from Kings funds. After this Salim Singh started to be becoming very fierce. No girls wanted to go to his hustle because they used to hate him a lot. But Salim Sigh wanted to get the daughter of Panchayet chief as she was so Beautyful. Villagers knew that they had not capability to fight with him, so they decided to leave the village forever. Also, they crushed the village so that nobody can live there.
