A movie theater associated with childhood memories was closed due to this plight of the Bengali film industry. When I found out it had reopened, I went to see it and was very happy to see that we would be able to see it again as it was before.
Today we are going to talk about a movie theater that we grew up watching, even if we have never had the good fortune to go there. Currently, one cinema hall after another is closing down because the Bengali film industry is currently unable to produce any good films, so it is not possible to continue these in a commercial manner for a long time. When I was kid, I used to see that this cinema hall was running very successfully, but then due to the decline of the Bengali industry, this cinema hall was also closed, so whenever I would go there, my heart would be very heavy because this cinema hall is associated with many childhood memories. But a few days ago, I suddenly heard that this cinema hall is going to reopen, so my heart was filled with joy and today I came to see with my own eyes whether the news is true or not and I saw that the news is completely true and currently a Salman Khan movie named Sikander is playing. I can’t explain the joy I feel when I see it. When I saw that there was a cow barrier inside the cinema hall that had become a part of our memories, I felt very sad because at one time I used to see so many people gathering here, so it’s hard to describe the joy of seeing it reopen.
It’s true that anything that has a beginning has an end. Anything that begins must have an end date. But since this thing is related to memories, I got emotional, but today is a very happy day. However, I would like to request those involved in the Bengali film industry to please pay attention to your work because today the Bengali industry is on the verge of destruction due to your excessive involvement in politics. There was a time when Bollywood used to copy Bengali industry. Currently, there is no film industry in India that the Bengali industry does not copy. It may sound harsh, but it is true. If those who normally pay to watch movies and buy tickets don’t see the movies they want, they will turn away from the movies. That’s when the Bengali industry won’t be able to succeed commercially and one cinema hall after another will continue to close. Now I am noticing one thing: politics is getting involved in every issue and ruining every industry, and the Bengali industry is a vivid example of that. But we live in hope and we will have this hope that even in the distant future, we will be able to bring back that golden world of the Bengali film industry because we have the artists, the directors, everything. We just have to bring our efforts back to that workplace and we have to turn our backs on politics and do our own work. Then it is possible to return to that golden age again.
