A video is going viral, although it is not a current video, but a very old video, where a security guard working at an ATM is seen sleeping. There are mixed reactions surrounding this video, with most people saying that he should be punished because sleeping while on duty means he is doing something wrong. I also agree with them that a person cannot sleep while on duty. This is a type of negligence that should not be done and he must be punished. But I’m not writing this article just to say this, I have something more to say. In this context, I would like to mention a sim from another movie, it was a Sanjay Dutt movie called Munnabhai MBBS. Where a thief is caught stealing at a railway station and various people want to kill him and by chance he falls into the hands of Sanjay Dutt’s father and Sanjay Dutt’s father wants to show that this types of people are only interested in judging those who are at the lower level but there are many people who are causing a lot of harm to the country and stealing a lot of money and the common man cannot do anything about them. When government officers bribe or sleep during their duty hours, no ordinary person has the power to protest against it, but when some people see that it is just a security guard, the power of protest awakens in everyone.
Many people have no idea about this security guard profession. Many people think that they only earn money by sitting around. But I want to tell all those people, please sit in one place for 12 hours a day and that too for just 300 to 350 taka. Then you will understand how responsibly they work. People of this class do this work for a little money and to support their families with it, but I have seen many people talking dirty about security cards. In fact, they can never complain or protest against any bad thing to the higher-ranking officials of the society, but when they see that a weak person is doing something wrong, they protest. These protests are called selective protest. That is, I will protest against some things and remain silent or turn my face away from others. This is the extreme of the people of the civilized world today.
Sometimes people in this profession work day after day. The company forces them to work. Yes, you can say that they get money in return, but that money is very small. If you look into it, you will see that they have to support a family with that money. A person may somehow be able to get through a night without sleeping, but when he has to do duty on four or five shifts at once, he has to take some rest, everyone knows that. Other people get very tired after working for 8 hours, but this person has to stand in the same place day after day and do the same thing. Just think about how much injustice you do to such people. I repeat, I never support such actions, but please consider the matter according to their circumstances. And when I present myself as a protester, I protest against people from all walks of life, rich and poor, who will do injustice. I only want to show myself as a hero by highlighting the weaknesses of the poor and helpless. But in reality, you are a loser. You can never get people’s support by making such videos because you selectively protest, which is a very heinous act. Learn to respect people’s professions because sometimes you will have times when you need a little rest, but then if someone videos you like this and eats your work, then you will realize how difficult this world really is, at least for those people who were born in poor homes.
