Can a state be governed by the rules of religion?
At present there is an idea working in the minds of some people that if they can run the country according to the rules of religion then much progress is possible in the country. It is for this reason that most of the Islamic countries are being driven to ruin today. In order to understand this matter, we must first understand what religion is, how religion originated, and the purpose of religion. Religion appeared long after the creation of man on earth, although the reason for the origin of this religion is the chaos created in man. Some rules were needed to make human life orderly. Besides, religion emerged so that people, after completing all the processes of the aspirant world, would think about the next process. That is, to summarize my point, two points emerge, namely, that religion originates from the principles of orderly human living and spiritual thought. Although several religions existed in the beginning, the number gradually increased with population growth.
There are many religions in the world today and all of them have different rules. In fact, in very few religions, all these rules and regulations have been reformed, that is, the rules of all religions that were prevalent at that time thousands of years ago are still in use in most religions today. That is why there are so many people in the present day who do not follow all the rules and regulations of the religion but spiritually they are connected with the religion. That is, of the two purposes for which religion was created, the first has almost disappeared and has become extinct, but people still rely on religion for their spiritual priorities. But today there are many religious sects who still want to live by the rules that were created thousands of years ago. And this is where the problem comes in. I am talking about the Islamic community today where this problem is the most. Most of the people of this religious community feel that all these rules which were developed depending on the circumstances of some 1500 years ago are equally applicable to their lives today. This creates chaos in the whole world, not only because of the turmoil in their lives but also an effect among people of other religions. We know that currently the situation in Bangladesh is very alarming, there is increasing political instability, there is no elected government and even the interim government of that country is seeking to begin the war with other countries.
Most of the Muslims believe that if Islamic rule is established in the country then the country will progress economically and overall. Although the most interesting thing is that they are spreading this word to everyone through Medium i.e. facebook instagram these are made of information technology and these information technologies also are not supported by their religion. In all the Islamic countries of the world where Islamic governance is established, there is no peace anywhere and you will not see any progress there. Progress is much later there is political unrest all the time besides there is no such thing as peace there all the time you will get news where some bombs are going off and some people are dying. The reason behind the economic prosperity of all the Muslim countries is due to the natural resources that are there, i.e. due to the natural resources they have become economically prosperous but they have not made any progress technologically. I’m sure chaos will exist like other countries as soon as the natural resources are exhausted. The people of Bangladesh are very strange, on the one hand they want to establish Islamic rule in the country, on the other hand they want to use Facebook, Instagram, everything, and at the same time they want to continue the banking system and have two or three girlfriends who will never be allowed to face the punishment they did when Islamic rule is established. There are many immoral acts like drinking alcohol and adultery etc. Islam never supports nor do we but with the passage of time we have to accept them in some cases because time is changing and the rules of time depend on people. That is, if you stand at this time and want to strictly follow the rules made thousands of years ago, then there will be chaos. No one can stop it. This is not only applicable to Islamic rules. As times change, you have to move with the times or you will fall behind. In the same way, the way we live or interact with each other today will have no meaning a thousand years from now, that is, they will become irrelevant. In the context of that time, several new rules will be introduced i.e. the way of life, then if a person follows the rules of now, he will not be able to survive in that time, he will have to cease to exist. Religion should be put to good use The spiritual aspects of religion should be more prominent in our lives only then we will give due respect to religion.
