Folk Hospitality
Today the hospitality shown by people has increased to a great extent. During the Diwali festival, I saw the fourth grade staff of the company I worked for were called and made to stand in a line. Each of them might have thought that they would be given at least one packet of sweets but they were given only one sweet. The dirtiest thing is that this whole thing is caught on camera, which means that this thing will be shown somewhere and their achievements will be claimed.
Some people have to eat a little bit of sweets and have to video it again and document it. In fact, the more advanced we are, the more undeveloped our mentality is, and it can be said that part of our society has completely become animal. I have seen this thing a lot during the lockdown i.e. the middle-class families suffered this thing more, maybe they don’t have any such things in their house for food so a class of people gave them food and after giving the food they took a picture or video and posted it on Facebook or social media. How embarrassing is that. There is a saying in our Hindu religion that if you donate in any way, one hand will only know that you have donated but the other hand will not. But in today’s society we see some people giving a little maybe as a donation but they take pictures and videos and try to show themselves as great or get commercial benefits. My personal opinion is don’t accept such donation that after donating he has to make video again and show that video somewhere. Lockdown has put many middle-class families in danger who may be temporarily in danger but because of that they have no respect and I condemn those who showed video of them donating some stuff in public and this kind of mindset people must change if I am to donate to anyone. It’s okay if I can’t but I’ve donated to someone. But because I helped someone a little, I have to video it to show everyone what kind of mentality I strongly condemn.
