Howrah bridge is one of the seven wonders of the world. But it is considered as one of haunted place also. It is the place where you can feel the shadows of disembodied souls. Someone may call it wrong, someone false but in internet search always people put it in the list of haunted places. The incidents of jumping from the bridge and commit suicide were the common incidents but now governments have taken many steps to prevent suicide cases by doing high barricades, deployed many policemen over the bridge etc.

Many people reported they saw hands of human raising from water and suddenly disappeared. Nobody could give the explanation of this, but it has happened with many people. Paranormal experts say when someone dies by accident or suicides their souls do not get release, so they roam the nearby places from their death places.

Many people claimed they saw woman wearing white saree crossing the bridge by walking at the middle of the night. But when someone goes near to her, he could not see anybody just vanished in the air. Many people feel not well when they go to the middle of the bridge even in the day. As per the report the cases of suicides mostly happened from the middle portion of the bridge.

The Contruction of the bridge was completed in 1942 and inaugurated in 1943. Every day it carries over 1,00,000 vehicles. The bridge was made out from 26500 tons of heavy steel so that it last long. But very unfortunate after the open the bridge for public it became the easy way to commit suicide from bridge. Very difficult when did the first suicide case happen from Howrah bridge. But also, it is true the more days go the more people using the bridge for killing themselves. No records found on Internet that till now how many cases of suicides and accidents took place on the bridge. But no doubt over thousands of suicide and accident cases of Howrah Bridge.
Why Howrah Bridge closed at 12 o clock?
The Howrah Bridge built by British without a single nut & bolt. But it is still a mystery why it is mandatory to close it for a while 12 o’clock every night. Although authority says that it is compulsion in terms of technical issue otherwise bridge maybe collapsed. But common people do not take it in easy way. according to them, there is some mystery about this bridge that government does not want to disclose. Maybe they also the know about the spiritual activities at that time and to prevent any harm of people they do it.
