How should you try to be fluent in English?
Now I see that many children are desperate to learn spoken English along with their studies and many institutions are exploiting that opportunity to rob them of a lot of money. When I started this blog my intention was not to earn money from here but to share all the experiences that I have gained in my life with everyone. If one person benefits from knowing all these experiences of mine then I will consider life blessed again. I first enrolled in Spoken English when I was in my second year of college. I have deliberately not mentioned the name of the institution as it is currently a well-reported institution. When I first joined there there was an experienced teacher but I don’t know later he was removed and a new teacher was brought in his place. The new teacher brought in had little experience and could not even speak friendly English. After going like this for some time I realized that the time and money I had invested here was a complete waste i.e. I could not learn anything from here so I left the institution disappointed. After that I got admission in many institutes even in those days many institutes run their computer course saying that spoken english center will give free with it but i can tell you for sure that about 90% of the spoken english center in this west bengal are incompetent i.e. there Going will only waste your time and money and you won’t learn anything in return. I think it would be wrong to say only in West Bengal, some institutions in India like British Councils or Ramakrishna Mission, no other institution can teach English like that, they only loot money.
Now, what are the students’ expectations about spoken English? They think that I should study in spoken English and as soon as the course is complete, I will start speaking English fluently. Actually, this is nothing but their unrealistic thoughts because if you want English to be friendly, then you You have to practice and if that practice is possible you have to practice with a human but now many systems have come up like AI through which you can continue your practice. Actually all these institutions do not have any specific method they will only make you practice with each other and give you one hour time and charge a good amount from you. Instead of going to them, if you watch English movies or follow the way celebrities speak English, you can learn English from there. It is best if you chat with foreigners, but your English will improve slowly. I was once humiliated for not being able to speak English. Actually it was about 12 to 15 years ago when I had to attend a semester for a course and I went there and the seminar was completely in English. Most of the boys and girls there were from English medium so it wasn’t difficult for them to speak English they spoke English very easily but I couldn’t speak English even though I was much older than them and I was resorting to Hindi as mother tongue and state language. The back was laughing so much that I could feel it but I lost the language of protest because their influence was so strong there. It was just an orientation program of seven days but that orientation program taught me a lot and made me go a lot. That day I vowed that after leaving here I will somehow make myself proficient in English and one day I will speak English in a friendly manner. The orientation program of seven days ended after some time and after coming out I started chatting with different foreigners and started making friends with them. To get to know the whole world I used fb. Back then no other media was available to me except Facebook and even I didn’t have an android smartphone then I used to chat with foreigners through a small phone. But if you put your heart into something and continue to work hard, one day will come when you will succeed and that was the case with me. I didn’t even realize that I was slowly becoming a fluent in English. After that I joined another institution much later but by then I realized that there is no need for me to join this institution because I am already a friend and I need to develop all the scales just to increase my soft skills. Chatting with foreigners is the same way I improve my English when I get news from around the world and learn about different events. For those of you who are fresh out of school or college who are thinking of enrolling in various Spoken English Centers, I can tell you to start practicing on your own and if necessary, talk to your friends in English, watch English movies, if necessary, read English newspapers. In this way you can learn English there is no shortcut method you have to learn this method with hundred percent effort.
