Affection of Wife, Humayun tomb timing
+It was the first garden tomb in Indian subcontinent built in 1570 by Humayun’s wife Hamida Begam. The structure was formed from the affection of wife to his husband. This tomb was Mughal Emperor Humayun. It was designed by Persian Architect Mirak Mirza.

This plot is total 10 Hector of Land on which the tomb is standing. It is one of the first to have been laid out in a manner based on the description of an Islamic char bag. The garden is divided into four large squares by means of cause ways and water channels.
Each of the square is further sub divided in like manner so that the whole is sub divided into 36 small squares. The tomb occupies four central squares. in 1857 it served as garrison and final refuge of last Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah II. On the banks of Yamuna River this tomb is now a heritage site. The nearest another more tourist site i.e. Nizamuddin Dargah.
This is on 30 acres of land. The cost of such tomb at that time was 1,50,000 Indian currency. The tomb stands on high platform that contains seventeen arched opening on each side provided small access to small subsidiary burial chambers. The corners of this platforms are cut away to mirror the corners of the tomb above. The central archway facilities access to the tomb platform via a steep flight of stairs.
