Murshidabad district of West Bengal has a famous Kali Kiriteshwari Kali Mandir which is one of the 51 Sati Piths. Kriteshwari, a temple where is located it is a minority village in the district of West Bengal, was adjudged the best village last year. So, this year itself, this village is being beautifully decorated on the occasion of this event. The place is so named because the crown i.e. part of the skull of Goddess Sati fell here.
