In a village in West Bengal, India, Muslims have issued a notice saying that no music can be played there because it is not allowed in Islam.
Very recently we have come to know that Saraswati Puja was not being allowed in several schools in West Bengal because those areas were predominantly Muslim areas and hence Puja was not allowed due to strong objections of Muslims.. However, when the people of the whole country came to know about this news, the puja was conducted with police protection. A few days after this incident, another news came today that in another Muslim village in West Bengal, the mosque committee has told that no music can be played in that village as it is forbidden in Islam. I have already said that there is no tolerance in this Muslim community, they cannot respect other religions, it is difficult for them to live where people of different religions live, because they want to impose their religion’s rules on everyone.
I am not interested in whether or not there is a rule for playing music in Islam because that is their own business and they will understand that but they have no right to impose a rule on people of other religions. The name of that village in Nadia is Nakashipara where this incident took place I am sure people of other religions besides Muslims live in that village then how can the mosque committee unilaterally take this decision. ?.It’s not that I am here to say that Muslims have done it, if something like this happens to any Muslim in a Hindu dominated area, I will protest in the same way because India is a secular country and people of every religion have rights here. Constitution has given equal right to everyone if one thinks he can listen music and music and if one doesn’t like he can not listen but no one can force his decision on others it is against the constitution.
