Influence of intellectuals in West Bengal politics. The so-called intellectuals of India secretly take financial help from various political parties.
Since 2005 West Bengal has seen a great contribution of the intellectual community at that time people respected these intellectuals very much and they got so much power that if they went against the government then the condition of the government would have deteriorated. These intellectuals became so negative and campaigned against the then Left Front government that Buddhadev Bhattacharya’s government was completely destroyed. This intellectual community had a different respect which they have now lost. At present, intellectuals do not agitate on every issue, they select all these issues, that is, they start agitation selectively, that means they agitate for some trophies in some agitations and avoid some topics. Most of the intellectuals benefit from the ruling party in various ways and are economically related to the ruling party in various ways. Government uses them as per their need but common people are not so stupid that they don’t understand this thing so intellectuals are not given much importance by common people now. These intellectuals say that they have no interest in participating in politics, which is completely false. I want to present my example to you. I also believe in the ideology of a political party but despite being told many times by that political party, I did not go to any meeting or procession. That’s because I have to work for my family. If I don’t work for a day and participate in a party rally, I won’t earn that day’s money and then my family has to suffer at the end of the month. While these intellectuals are keeping an eye on what is happening all over West Bengal and are there immediately, my question is who is paying the minimal cost of going to those places? Personally, I don’t like these intellectuals at all. I am an educated person, so I have an understanding that choosing a political party will be good for me and the country, so I can’t accept any other person to tell me this.
Bangladeshi Hindus are being oppressed continuously but the intellectuals of this state do not spend a single word for them but if any Muslim is oppressed in any part of the world then these intellectuals protest about it, in fact they are never secular they are the real sectarians who only look at religion and decide what they should protest and what they should not protest. We who may be common people have limited power in our hands but if we use that limited power wisely i.e. choose the right person or party at the time of voting then maybe such problems will be reduced. Irrespective of the identity of the political party, the candidate nominated by the political party should consider the personal character and life of the common man only then he should win because if the personal life is not good then he can never do good to the people. Some candidates have allegations like rape case or murder case so people should never win them until they get clean seat from all those cases it has the potential to corrupt the constitution of India. And all these intellectuals should remember that they are common people like us. They will impart knowledge to us and we will accept it. Today almost every house has a boy going to school and learning education so his intelligence is gradually developing then he will listen to the intellectuals and go to vote why he will vote for the person he chooses as right by applying his own intelligence the intellectuals have no contribution. It’s time to kick these religious traders called intellectuals, because they are of no use to the society, they only fool people for their own interests.
