Gaya is mentioned before the name of this temple because the ghosts are released here, and they are kept captive. As per the belief of the devotees, this temple is very sacred and people from many countries and abroad come here to fulfill their heart’s desires. The strangest thing is that the idol in this temple is not worshiped on a certain day of the year as per the Tantra Sadhana. There is a place called Gaya in India where Bindu is offered to unsatisfied devotees. Local people believe that people who die suddenly and their souls wander here and there on the high road are attracted by this temple. comes. This Pind dan process takes place on a special Tithi during Kali Puja. The biggest attraction of this temple is the Pret kuya i.e. a tube well which is said to hold various spirits trapped in the well.
This well looks so scary that standing next to it gives one a strange feeling. Even women and children are not allowed near this well and the authorities of this temple follow it very strictly. In this well all the souls who die suddenly or those evil spirits who cause various havoc to people are imprisoned here but during Kali puja they are released according to the rules of Tantra sadhana as per rules on Kumbha Tithi. We talked to the locals and could not find out anything about the history of this temple. But we have come to know that many secret practices of Tantra Sadhana are done here even at night no one is allowed here only certain people stay here at night and no one has any idea about what happens here at night but also people say that from this temple Very strange noises are heard at night. Although it is true that such noise is not available during the day, but how does the mentality of people change when they come here. If a person of very evil nature comes here, he may have to face difficulties because this place is very ghostly place and not at all favorable for people who think of harming others.
It is said that if someone tries to harm you and if you are honest and fearless then you can visit this temple and offer puja then you will surely get rid of that enemy. But one thing we noticed is that this temple is usually not crowded and those who go take great risk i.e. this temple can’t be called for common visitors because this temple is not only ghost but also acts as salvation giver to other class of people who Suffering from various problems.
It is not only this temple where souls are worshipped. There are many such examples in India but one such temple in West Bengal bears a very unique mark. Their entire family died in an accident while traveling along the local high road and in this temple they took shelter as souls after death. However, according to local people, the number of accidents in the hiero which is next to this temple is much higher than other places, at least 5-6 accidents happen every month. So all those souls took refuge in this temple and after some time all those souls were released. But till then they have their residence in this well.
