Khirai valley of Flowers in English
Have you ever heard about Flower Paradise? Yes, this place exists in our earth. I had heard a lot from many people to say Let’s go Khirai, The valley or veil of West Bengal. Even from my home my sister also teasing me to take her to The Land of Flower. None of my friends were left to go there. so, i thought there is no use in delaying. So just let’s go to expose this small village of flower.
This small Village is in East Midnapur district of west Bengal in India is connected by railway as well as road. The distance from Howrah or Kolkata is not so far (Hardly 80 km). But as per own opinion railway is the best option to reach here if you think about comfortability. The nearest rail station is Khirai railway Station.
This place is also called Cassai valley because the river Kangshabati is flows by. The last year i visited this place with my sister. we took train to Midnapur from Howrah station. Almost it took 1.5 hours to reach Khirai Station. After reaching the station we had to walk almost 15 minutes to reach the exact destination.
The flower garden is on about 26 Bighas of land. When arrived we felt like ” Yes Our Lives Are Worth “. Looking around and seeing nothing but only flowers and flowers. As per I remember there was no flowers left that I could see. A sea of flower is an understatement but an Occean of flowers. Farmers have cultivated a huge number of flowers and there was not any other cultivation except flower as far as i could see.
There florists were selling their flowers, honestly say you can’t stop yourself from buying after seeing. Vendor were putting many flowers together to make to make flower bunch, and girls were loving them much. Many were busy going inside the flower garden to take pictures. I think this place is best for lovers or couples.
When we got so tired then we came to have some foods. Locals had set up food stalls nearby where you can have enough food at reasonable price. All Kinds of fast foods were available there.
We came to know after talking to locals that mainly the market of flowers of Khirai is Mallick hat of Howrah. The main Occupation of the people of region is cultivate the flower and sell them in the market. Marigold Flower, Aster, Rose Garden, Chandra Mallika, Dalia were the main attraction of Khirai.
Guys Who are reading this place my humble request to them Plese keep this place beautiful because locals were complaining that tourists come there and damage their flowers and so they are facing financially losses. Plese try to keep in mind so that your happiness does not causes of others sorrow. And also do not throw the garbage here and there because it causes the visual pollution also.
Apart from Flowers there is a nice place nearby called ” Sri Gosai Baba Mandir “, With which Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabha was associated in past.
