Children’s Park with Toy Train
Moti Jheel Park is a children’s park with toy train facility. it is located three kilometers from Murshidabad Hazar Duari in the Murshidabad district of the Indian state of West Bengal, has become a historical sightseeing and recreation center for people. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated this park in the same July 2015.
Formerly associated with the Moti Jheel Park are many memories of the Battle of Palashi. There are several war memorials of Nawab Siraj UD Daula East India Company during the Battle of Palashi in 1757 AD. Here was Ghaseti Begum’s palace which is now in ruins and Motijheel Park has been developed on this site. Moti Jheel Park is adjacent to Moti Jheel Lake which surrounds the park this arm was the only means of transportation during the Battle of Palashi. And this Motijheel lake Nawab cultivated pearls this lake is a part of Bhagirathi River. Spread over an area of 350 acres at Moti Jheel night, it is a tributary of Bhagirathi river.
Moti Jheel Park includes historical statues of Bangla 3 Nawab Murshid Quli Khan Ali Buddhi Khan and ORN Hasting, there is a large cannon used during the Battle of Palashi. Also here are statues of Nawab Sirajuddaula and his generals from the battle of Palashi. There is a history that during the Battle of Palashi in 1757 AD Sirajuddaula’s chief commander Mirza Far conspired with the East India Company and helped the Nawab to defeat the East India Company in the hope of getting the Nawab’s throne. Ghaseti Begum’s palace, which was the site of the conspiracies, depicts the meeting of the conspirators here in the form of statues.
Moti Jheel Park has historical statues of Bangla 3 Nawab Murshid Quli Khan Alivardi Khan and ORN Hastings. Here is a large cannon used in the battle of Palashi. Upon entering the park, one can see the statues of Sirajuddaula and his generals from several moments of the Battle of Palashi, and the meeting of the war conspirators in front. They are an entertainment center for tourists and reawakening of history. A huge exhibition has been set up in Ghaseti Begum’s palace where several scenes of the Battle of Palashi are shown to tourists by 3D pints and a program on Rabindra Sangeet is held every evening.
Moti Jheel Pak is made incredibly beautiful by the surrounding green trees grass and wonderful environment. Moti Jheel Park is called Nature Center. Several areas of the park have paths that provide bicycle access. There is a Moti Jheel Wage Tower and a convenient facility for vote writing with Moti Jheel. There are multiple systems for children to play and pleasant surroundings for adults. On one side of Moti Jheel Park is the Tomb of Nawabs and his detailed biography is mentioned on it.
Moti Jheel Park is one of the most popular parks in Murshidabad. Entrance fee to Moti Jheel Park is Rs.30 per head. Free entry for children under 5 years old. Ticket prices for board writing and exhibition at Jheel are fixed separately. Also, there are guest houses for tourists under Moti Jheel Park. The distance from Kolkata to Moti Jheel Park is about 191 km. The nearest railway station is Murshidabad. There are many express trains from Kolkata and Sealdah stations to Murshidabad. There are also many buses from Kolkata Dharmatala and Howrah to Baharampur and Murshidabad.
