 Baguran Jalpai, An Offbeat Beach in Medinipur, West Bengal. When the mind gets bored in the busy life of the city, one needs to visit one such place in West Bengal that is Boguron Jalpai. Although this place is not so well known among the tourists, I can say that if you go there once, you will like it. Usually the people of West Bengal choose Digha or Mukutmanipur as a beach, but although this place is not known to many people, slowly this place is becoming attractive to many tourists. The easiest way to reach here is from Howrah directly to Kanthi on the national highway or from here you can easily reach this beach by taking a toto or a small car. At present a large hotel has been set up here under the initiative of private ownership so that those who come from Kolkata or further afield will not have any difficulty in eating there.

I went to this beach two years ago with a friend of mine but it’s not much fun to sunbathe here but you will be satisfied if you see the natural beauty here and most of all it’s an absolutely beautiful place for those who like a bit of quiet. Because people still don’t know much about this place, it’s a great place to spend some quiet time. The local fishermen here catch different kinds of fish from the sea and sell it to the tourists at a very low price and if you request they will cook for you for a little labor at least we spent a very nice day there with their help. This beach located in Midnipur district is slowly gaining popularity among all the people which means that it is sure that in the next few years this place will also become a popular destination.
