Arrival of God in Human Body
Sai Baba is considered as the arrival of God in Human Body. Sai Baba is one of the greatest souls ever born in the spiritual land of India, considered by many to be God and some even define him as a deity. During his lifetime, he gave people a spiritual path that still serves as a guide for people. His temple is now located at Sirdi in Maharashtra. He was buried on Vijaya Dashami in 1918. Sainagar Sirdi is the nearest railway station to reach here
He was buried six feet below the spot where his statue is located. Today this place is held in great reverence. Outside the temple there is a 150-year-old neem tree, it is said that under that neem tree Sai Baba sat for the first meditation and from here he attained siddhi. According to Saibaba, when digging was done under this place, four lamps were found burning. Next to it is a place called Dwarka Mai where there is a stone on which Sai Baba used to meditate and also many of the things used by him are preserved here. Adjacent to Saibaba’s temple is a dargah of Haji Abdul Babar, the man who accompanied Sai Baba at his last age of about 30 years.
There is a canteen facility run by the temple where you can get a variety of food at low cost. Laxmibai Temple is here. She is the noble lady who served Saibaba for about 43 years and was with him at the time of his last death. Here you can visit Malsa Prati Kuthi i.e. he is the person who first realized that Saibaba has miraculous powers, not only that when Saibaba left this place he brought Sai Baba back to this place when Sai Baba stayed in Samadhi for three days. Then he kept Sai Baba’s head in his lap and waited for three days when Sai Baba returned to this world again
Not only this, here you will find the shrine of the woman who nurtured Sai Baba with motherly love and performed his services. Some distance from the temple there is free food facility and there is also a bus service to reach there from the temple you can take free bus or you can reach there by walking it is not too far. Apart from the temple of Saibaba here you will find temples of various Hindu gods and goddesses where you can have the good fortune to visit them. Accommodation here is also arranged by the temple authorities if you feel like you can stay here in AC or Non AC rooms at very low cost.
