Gayatri Shastri
In 1997 Door Darshan had a serial called Om Naam Shivaya which became very popular. Actress Gayatri Shastri played the role. Indeed, the producers’ challenge was to find an actress for the role of Parvati who would dance well and at the same time have a goddess-like look to her. Gayatri Shastri was perfect for the role of Parvati, but one problem was that she was Tamil, so she didn’t know Hindi. Although later she surprised everyone by learning Hindi within a very short period of time. She has acted in many Tamil movies and continues to act today. She shifted from Chennai to Mumbai only for this serial and her mother lived with her. Although she is not in the limelight these days, she is very active on Instagram and is often seen sharing various pictures and videos with her daughter on Instagram.
