The dark side of Mother Teresa, Christian preaching under the guise of free service
Mother Teresa was a foreigner but she contributed a lot in the field of service on the soil of India and even today India respects her as Mother. But we still hear some controversies about her on the Internet, such as the fact that she converted about 29,000 people to Christianity without informing them at the time of his death. She is said to have admitted it in her own mouth.A serious charge against her was that whenever a person, whether male or female, came to her for service, she used various means to pressure him to convert to Christianity. A few days ago, a word was said by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad that Mother Teresa said that Hinduism is the religion of Saytan, although no one has any reliable document regarding this, it is completely the claim of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. A famous thinker referred to Mother Teresa as a religious imperialist.
One of the prerequisites for a person to be given the title of Send, according to the rules of Christianity, is that he or she must have accomplished at least three miracles in his lifetime. One of the three miracles of her life was that she enabled a barren woman who could never become a mother to become a mother by showing her only a sign of Jesus. Later the woman’s family informed that the woman had some physical defect which was later cured by taking medicine and no personal influence of Mother Teresa worked. Mother Teresa’s work was criticized not only from within India but also from different societies of thought from outside India. On the one hand it was claimed that the place where she served was filthy and there was a lot of possibility of infection but she paid no heed to it as her only thought was preaching.
Besides, she used many methods of treatment which were completely unhealthy i.e. they were never supported by modern medical science and as a result the condition of the patient was very bad but she did them for the sake of religion. Even when a person was injured for some reason and went to her, the various nurses who were near her would not fill the wound, i.e. without applying any kind of ointment or giving him any medicine, they would only clean up the area with bandages so that it would be understood from above that he was being treated. In fact, the nurses working there had the religious belief that suffering is divine so there is nothing human can do about it and it is a human’s duty to bear this suffering. It is said that Mother Teresa worshiped suffering and that she wanted all those who were with her to suffer and reach God.
The biggest complaint against Mother Teresa was that she used to bring in large amounts of money in the form of donations from Europe and America but she did not spend them because the places she served were completely unsanitary. Many people complain that she never took the burden of service on herself but always put it on the nurses and her concern was how to maximize the funds of the institution i.e. she wanted to have more power financially.
Mother Terecha was accused of accepting donations from many unscrupulous people, even knowing that she once took a large donation from a businessman and later on, after being convicted, she did not return the donation because his sole objective was to maximize funds. Many people who are nothing but targets say that they used to launder a lot of black money through that organization. Many have complained that Mother Teresa’s huge sums of money are deposited in black Swiss banks, which she has not been able to withdraw to date, and that none of this money is spent on service. She used to spend only 7% of the money she collected through donations on service activities, although the quality of that service was very poor as we have already discussed. But when she herself was suffering from physical illness she never used to get treatment in her own institution but she used to go abroad for treatment in very luxurious places and also by special flights which were reserved for her through which she used to travel all over the world.
The biggest allegation against her is that she used to go to various lower caste Hindu and Muslim families and convert them to Christianity by tempting them with food. A great man remarked about her that she was not really a friend of the poor but a friend of poverty i.e. she used the poverty of people and converted them to Christianity. But in spite of all this, we can never deny hee contribution to India through her service to the people of India. At the same time India is introduced to the whole world by her. However, all these allegations against her are still there or will be in the future, I just presented them to you.
