Abandoned Heritage Building in Howrah

Andul is a small town in Howrah district and the Andul Rajbari is said to be located here. it is an abandoned heritage building in Howrah. If Bhuvaneswari Devi had not protested, perhaps Swami Vivekananda would have inherited this Rajbari. The founder of this palace was Raja Raj Narayan Roy Bahadur. The construction of this palace started in 1830, and the construction work was completed in 1834. When you come to the Rajbari you will see that in front of the Rajbari there are ten huge 50 feet tall pliers. There is a dance hall in the middle of the palace where many movies have been shot. A popular movie Sahib Bibi Golam was shot here.

In fact, the founder of this palace was not a king from the beginning. The British gave him the title of Raja. That is because he was a British minded person and obeyed all British orders. It is heard that when the Nawab fell in Murshidabad, this king brought all his wealth to this movement under the orders of the British. Durga Puja was once held in this palace with much fanfare but now no one lives here. But it would be wrong to say that no one lives here, in fact no one from the dynasty lives here but the locals are occupying various houses here, they are here.
