Lokenath Baba
Loknath Baba is a very important person for the people of Hindu religion who is a Brahmachari Siddha Purusha who is a storehouse of knowledge. Baba Loknath has many Ashrams in West Bengal and Bangladesh. Nowadays Baba Loknath is worshiped in every house of Hindus. His sayings are “Whenever you are in danger in the forest, in the forest, in the forest, remember me and I will protect you.” If you can endure these three words, friend, separation, and separation from the world, even death can be overcome, this is not a place of my advice, but a place of command.On August 31, 1730, the boy Loknath was born in village Mauja Chakla of Barasat district, now known as North 24 Parganas district. Boy Loknath’s father name is Ram Narayan Ghoshal and mother name is Smt Kamala Devi.
Baba Loknath is the fourth son of his parents. Loknath was the son of a poor family. As a child, Loknath’s father Ram Narayan Ghoshal handed over Loknath to Lord Gangopadhyay to take up monasticism. Bhagwan Gangopadhyay left home at the age of 60 with his boy Loknath and his childhood friend Beni Badhak for Kalighat, one of the Ekanna Peeths. Loknath was only 11 at that time. After staying for some time at Kalighat, they reached a deep forest for penance which was at a short distance from Loknath’s village. There Guruji ordered Loknath and Benimadhav to observe various vows as an education. For example Nakta Vrat, Ekant Vrat, Pancha Vrat, Navratri Vrat and Gandu Mora Asana, Guruji ordered to engage in meditation. Loknath continues to pass all the tough tests. According to Shasta, a monk is allowed to return home after 12 years of penance. Loknath came to his house for some time. Then they go to a secluded place in the snowy Himalayas for meditation and learning.
At the age of 90, Loknath reached the highest pinnacle of society through severe austerities there. Samadhi means deep meditation here. Then they left for Makkah. On the way, he took refuge in Kabul, where he met a religious man, Mullah Sadi, and learned the Quran from him. Then they came to Medina and visited a 400-year-old noble fakir named Abdul Gaffar. He was always in a state of silent samadhi. After staying in Mecca for a few days, they left for Kashinath in Varanasi. At the age of one hundred and fifty, Lord Gangopadhyay handed over two of his disciples to Tailakt Swami and was liberated on the banks of the Ganges. From life.
Oiled Swami Loknath and Benimadhav left for a trip to the west of India. They traveled to Afghanistan, Europe, Israel, Persia, etc., and returned after traveling to the Atlantic Ocean coast. This time they went to the Samaru region of India’s northern route, then they traveled to the east and arrived in China. Staying on the hill, Tilak Swami traveled on the path of Udaya Chal, Benimadhava went to Kamakhya, one of the places of Sati Peetha, and Loknath chose the path of the dense forest of the Chanda natha hill, from here the three diverged.
Baba Loknath, whom Loknath had met as a child at Kalighat, the place of his first education, saves the meditative monk Vijaya Krishna Goswami from danger when he sees a forest fire on his way through a deep forest.Later, Baba Loknath took shelter in Daudkandi village of Tripura district. The words that came out of his mouth seemed to be Amrita’s words and blessings for the devotees and gradually won the hearts of the devotees. Dengue Car Karmakar blessed a man with immunity from criminal charges. The zamindar there had given Baba Loknath an ashram on the banks of the river Baghini. He lived like the shade of a banyan tree. He was a racist person who would tell his mind when he saw his face. Also, he once appeared before the court to protest injustice. He had the immense glory of containing the diseases of the human body within himself. People came from far and wide hoping to solve the problem. Baba Loknath felt the news of his untimely death and informed the devotees that day, people from different parts started crowding that day. To see Baba Loknath, he closed the door of the house and said I am leaving my body, I will stay here.
In 1890 A.D. one at 11:45 p.m. Baba Loknath’s pre-order was to complete the last rites behind his last samadhi ashram and he lived till 160 years. Lord Vishnu came in different incarnations in different forms and one of his forms is Baba Loknath. Mantras for Baba Loknath puja are Jai Baba, Loknath Jai Mata Loknath, Jai Shiv Loknath.
