Hazarduari Palace
The palace was earlier known as Bora Kothi situated in the campus of Kila Niamat. Such was built by Nawab Nazim Humayun Jah in the nineteenth century. Actually ” Hazarduari ” means Thousands of doors. But nobody knows how much exactly doors are there. It is assumed that Nawab built this kind of multiple doors palace after thinking of his safety. If enemy attracts his kingdom and if he does not see any way to win so that time he could ran away and save his life.
Moti Jheel Park
Basically, there is ait is a wonderful park for all ages of people. Also, there is a horse-shoe shaped lake which was associated with East India Company. Such lake created by Nawazish Muhammad Khan. Such area is very nice in terms of natural beauty.
Kathgola Garden
The garden was constructed in 18th century by rich Jain merchants is now popular tourist destination. This place is very rich in terms of historical value. At the time of Pallays war in 1757 Kathgola was witnessed of many important political meetings between Robert Clive & Mirza far. Katra Mosque
The mosque is an art of Bengali & Mughal combination built in 17th century. Such mosque was affected due to earthquake in 1897 but still the rest of the portion of it stands with carring the old history. It is said to be the largest caravanserai in the Indian subcontinent. Kiriteswari Temple
It is a Hindu pilgrimage and also considered as a Sati Pith Situated in Lal Bagh subdivision. It is the place where Crown of Sati fell. The current temple is 300 years old. The nearest rail station is Daha Para Dham.
Nizamat Imambara
Such is a Shia Muslim congregation hall built in 1740 by Nawab Siraj Ud-Daulah. It was destroyed in 1842 by fire so rebuilt in 1847 by Nawab Mansur Ali Khan.
Nasipur Palace
The old palace was built by Raja Debi Singha but later it was rebuilt by Raja Kirti Chandra Singha Bahadur in 1865. Kirtichand Bahadur came from Panipath but later he became very famous as a revenue collector of the British company.
Khosh Bagan
This place used to be as crematory of Nawabs. This is the burial ground where Nawab Siraj Ud Daulah with his wife and other rest of family members were buried. Basically, Khosh Bagan Means the garden which spreads the happiness. It offers tranquil scenery amidst the lush greenery.
Footi Mosque
Footi means which one is not completed yet. The construction of this mosque was made by Nawab Sarfaraz Khan in 1740. Such is amazing artwork of Indo – Islamic architecture.
jafarganj crematory
It is just nearby Hazar Duari palace carries the historical legacy of Nawabs of Bengal. overall, it spreads on 4 acres land. It is the burial place of Mirza far who had betrayed with Siraj Ud Daulah.
Wasef manzil
It was built by Nawab Wasif Ali Mirza Khan under the direction of British architect Mr. Duncan Macleod. Such used to be as the residence of Nawabs.
