What is Religion? Why there is so much so much conflict about Religion?
It is often said that although the paths are different, the destination is the same, this also applies to religion. People fight among themselves, fight and kill all these things because of religion. In fact, this religion is nothing but the way to God and in this case the destination is meant to be God or one’s ultimate worship. A few days ago I was seeing a woman asking if she does not believe in any religion then will she be considered as a dancer because the answer is never. He does not believe in any religion but believes in the existence of God or wants to reach him means he wants to reach the destination but he does not need any road. It’s not impossible, it’s definitely possible but it’s stupid because let’s say there is a definite route for me to go from Mumbai to Delhi. If I don’t believe in that route and want to reach Delhi by my own road I can definitely reach it but it is time consuming and very difficult to do. If one chooses to leave the highway and take the forest path, he can certainly reach his destination but his journey will be very difficult and he may have to endure many injuries because the forest may have many knotty trees or there may be many fierce animals that they are afraid of. There is a possibility of loss.
In ancient times when there was no religion but many wise men of that time were worshipers of formless God, they thought that if there is no definite path to reach God then it is never possible for ordinary people to develop the thought of God. Then as time progressed, different opinions were created and different religions were created. Today, many religions have merged together and become one. They have different paths but the destination is the same. In this regard, a famous saint of Bengal can be mentioned, he is Baba Loknath. Once when he was in deep meditation he saw that devotions originating from different religions were merging into one place which we call Param Iswar i.e. there is no separate God or deities of other religions each is actually one energy which we know by different names. If they understand this little thing, they are bound by violence among themselves. In fact, those people do not even have knowledge of their own religion. They only want to talk more about other religions, but they have no thought about their own religion. So these and serial rioters should be socially and religiously boycotted because religion and society cannot be benefited by them but religion and society are corrupted due to all the negative activities they do.
