Why Bollywood movie “3 Idiots” is so popular in the world
In 2009 a movie released in Indian Bollywood was shot at IIM in Bangalore called Three Idiots. Aamir Khan Madhavan and Salman Joshi were in the lead roles and Kareena Kapoor was also an influential actress. The film was not only a commercial success in India but was equally well-respected all over the world, especially in the Philippines where the film was made mandatory and included in the school syllabus there.
Actually in this movie it was shown that when a child is born in India immediately his father decides that his child will be an engineer generation after generation of India is destroyed because of this misconception let’s say today if Sachin Tendulkar had not played cricket then in some office he would have worked so he could not have shown his highest talent. In this way generation after generation of India is being destroyed, in fact we do not recognize in protest, we are taking one wrong decision after another while imposing our dream on our children and in this we are not only harming our children but we are also harming the country. This movie shows a boy who can take good photography but his father sends him to study engineering instead of making him a career in photography but the boy knows that even if he passes engineering he will not be a good engineer because he has no skills in that field but still he Studying engineering only to fulfill father’s dream. On the same side, we see another person who believes only in traditional studies, he does not want to understand anything, he does not want any creativity to come into him, he only wants to memorize books and pass exams and getting the highest marks is his only goal in life. So just like a bad engineer can’t be of any use to the country, just like a person who memorizes books and becomes an engineer traditionally, he can’t earn his name in any creativity, so if you look at it from both sides, the country is losing only because of this traditional method of education.
The problem in our society is that we can’t achieve things. We think that when our sons and daughters grow up, that achievement will come in them and their achievement will make my life worthwhile. In fact, this concept is completely wrong. Every person’s talent is different so before understanding or saying anything one should know in which direction that person has talent and I think he should be directed in that direction. There are some boys and girls in the school who are not so good in studies but they are very good in sports which means that they are not very interested in studies but if they can be directed towards sports then they can make a lot of progress for the country. So teachers need to understand this, those who have included the syllabus in their curriculum, otherwise this traditional education will destroy us. We can’t do it, we won’t be of any use for our family or for the country.
I am speaking from my own experience and I have seen many students who were not good at studies or maybe they never went to school but still they have a lot of influence in the society because they have come a long way and they have tried their best. May they succeed in that direction and finally they are successful so they are successful in life. I heard a story somewhere that suppose an elephant is told to climb a tree he will spend his whole life thinking that he is disabled when in fact elephants were not born to climb trees. He can do a lot of heavy heavy stuff so he should be allowed to do that thing which he can do from the beginning. Again if a monkey is told that he cannot lift something heavy because he is not physically that skilled but he can climb a good tree and jump from one branch to another that skill is in him so if every person is given the same task he can We should never think so.
In the movie Three Idiots we saw that Aamir Khan’s character did not actually have a degree because he only came to class as one but actually had no educational certificate. But nevertheless he later became a scientist because he had the creative power of Jata which he exercised to its maximum and was used in the service of society as well as family. We were discussing in the Philippines why the movie 3 Idiots is so famous is because the education system there is very similar to the Indian education system. That’s why we see India has a huge population and even if there is high unemployment among them, companies can’t recruit them because what happens if the population is high, most of the people here are not skilled workers i.e. they don’t have knowledge of technology. Without change, it is never possible to improve the country and at the same time it is not possible to solve the unemployment of the country. The reason why the Philippines has included this movie in their syllabus is because they understand that it will develop free thinking among the students and they will be able to show their merit and career according to the talent they have within themselves which they know best. Can do is actually their effort to make the students aware of the talent hidden within them and accordingly they want to choose the career. This traditional education system is very harmful for the young generation because when this education system was introduced this was not the social system so I think the education system should change with the social system otherwise we will not get any improvement in our traditional system the company needs a lot of recruitment but it Although we don’t see ourselves getting jobs there because we don’t have the skills that the company wants so we have to develop ourselves as per the company’s demand. Or it can be said in another way we have to change ourselves with time and choose our career according to our talent. Otherwise, nothing can be done.
