Hindus Worship of Idols, Creator is Formless? Does Veda Support Idol Worshiping?

At present time some questions roam in everybody’s mind that why Hindus worship of Idols? Don’t they think that creator is formless? or Does Veda support idol worship? Here i am just trying to give answer all of your questions. Although Hinduism is not the majority in today’s world, its ancient history and religious culture make the whole world familiar with another chapter. Even in the United States of America and other western countries including Russia, this religion is spreading widely. The people of the Hindu community are fearless and calm in nature and do not participate in any incitement to violence. Therefore, in all countries of the world, they taste a special joy to receive people of Hindu religion as guests.

People of every religion believe in one creator even people of Hindu religion and Hindus are no exception believe that there is one creator who controls everything, and he creates, and he destroys. The problem does not arise from here, the problem arises, what is the form of that creator generally people of other religions prefer the formless form of that creator. But the people of the Hindu community do that by worshiping various idols. They worship various gods and goddesses through idol worship. This idol is sometimes made of clay and sometimes of stone and then the idol is worshiped after bringing it to life. Many also say that it is completely ridiculous how God or the Creator can exist in that statue. They claim that if people are in any danger, do those idols have the power to protect them. They are made by human hands. How can they help others? They make a mockery of the whole of Hinduism on the pretext of worshiping only this idol. The reason they dare to say more is the lack of religious knowledge among the majority of Hindus. Hindu people do not know why they worship idols. So, they have to endure taunts from people of different religious communities.

One thing is common in almost all religions that devotees do not need God or Creator, Supreme devotees need God. So how the devotee reaches the work of his creator is entirely up to him but one thing that is absolutely essential is that the path must be right. Let’s say two cities one is Kolkata, another is Mumbai, in case a person reaches Mumbai from Kolkata, the fastest way is National Highway but not everyone has to take National Highway. If one thinks it can be reached in any other way. In that case the thing that will become a factor is the time difference i.e. the one who passes through the National Highway will reach in a much faster time and comfortably. Again, one who goes by air transport will reach faster and he will have more comfort during his journey. But no one tells that person how he should go. He chooses the mode of transport depending on his personal finances. In this case we can compare the road from Calcutta to Mumbai with religion and I can compare Mumbai which is my real destination with the Creator.

That is, each religion is correct only to take the road to a different destination. It can be seen that every religion says that the creator is formless but due to human misunderstanding these problems are created and conflict with each other. I am bound to say that in every people of today, irrespective of their religion, they lack moral education and religious education. The biggest thing is that when someone explains these religious things, most of the people interpret it wrongly and different people interpret it in different ways, so people get the wrong message about religion and about God. It is sad to think that when the creation is the same Creator only for different paths to reach that Creator, people are killing each other and being bound in hatred towards them.

Now let’s directly talk about idol worship why Hindus worship idols and why people of other religions don’t worship idols. If we do the history, we will see that idol worship was prevalent not only in ancient India but also in the ancient world then slowly idol worship disappeared and now most of the religions follow formless gods. If I refer to Vedas, Vedas are the holy scriptures of Hindus which are followed by everyone then we will see that there is no mention of idol worship in Vedas but there is mention of idol worship indirectly though not directly. But any religious guru says that Vedas are the true age for which Kali Yuga is currently going on and Srimadh Bhagavad Gita is given more priority than Vedas in Kali Yuga. But that doesn’t mean I am saying that Vedas have no importance in Kali Yuga, never in fact when Vedas were written, they were written with Satya Yuga in mind and in Satya Yuga people’s behavior, their food, their habits, their mentality was completely advanced which we cannot understand now. That’s why it was so easy for them to pursue the formless God because their concentration power was much higher than ours, so they could easily harmonize with God in a way that we can’t even imagine now. To explain it in a simpler way, it is necessary to talk on mobile phones. Why do we use mobile phones? People of one place to talk to people of another place but it is also true that if the application of proper MD is known there is no need of mobile phone which in true age many manis used to talk to each other without mobile phone probably because of their superpower concentration. So now many people will be asking the question that at that time mobile phones were not needed then why it is happening now it is a very stupid question. Now many people may ask stupidly that why we use mobile phones now. In the real era, mobile phones were not used, even then they used to do their work properly. It is actually a stupid question. The people of that time worshiped without forming idols, establishing in their minds an absolute existence of God and co-ordinating with Him which we cannot even imagine. The ancient sages knew that there would come a time when man’s moral values would be so underdeveloped and he would be so far away from God that he would never be able to worship the image of God by placing it in his mind, so it was actually for them that idol worship was introduced thinking about the people of our Kali Yuga. It can be explained in a slightly different way. Let’s say that when we were young, when we all learned to read, we could not understand anything written, only through symbols or pictures We tried to understand them. Then gradually when that child grows up, he won’t need all those pictures or symbols because he’s at a more advanced level and he’ll be able to write on his own even as I’m writing this block now. I could not write because I was not matured to write it then, but I can write it now because I have gone through so many levels i.e. now, I can write or talk about anything without any help. Because I have achieved this knowledge.

We know that God is everywhere i.e. God is there in all the dirty places in our society as God is there in any good place, but can we really say that if we reach any dirty place that draws our attention to God. It depends a lot on the environment, wherever we are, if we go to a temple, i.e. go to a holy place, the word of God becomes clear to us, and if we go to a bad place, we develop a bad attitude towards bad deeds, that is, it depends on the environment. The place we are in has a lot of influence on the mind. That is, knowing that God is everywhere, we cannot be equally attentive to God everywhere. Just as the network is at its peak but we still need a mobile phone to talk, in the same way I cannot be equally focused on God everywhere. This is why idolatry is prevalent. Where an idol is formed and life is established in it according to religious norms and then we imagine it as God and we pursue it, in fact there is nothing foolish about it, it is only an attempt to centralize our attention to God. In this case even a child can concentrate his mind on God and remember him and for this he does not need any special knowledge. Even in Hinduism there are many people who do not worship idols because they are sure that they can focus their thoughts on God without sitting in front of any idol or that they have that ability but that does not mean that everyone can do that. Individuals can reach God without the help of idols, but it is almost a myth that anyone can do it. For example, in many cases we assume X to solve a problem in mathematics. As an illusion, there is no such thing as X because we assume it is so that it helps us to come up with the solution formula. We can compare this X with the statue. It is only our helper it can be said to be a kind of road. Therefore, he who does not worship an idol is not a non-believer of God, in fact he is also proceeding on his own path, only the path is different and he himself is very confident that he can imagine God’s form in his mind without seeing any idol in front of him, so he does not need an idol.

Vivekananda, who was a Hindu ascetic monk, went to his house on the invitation of a Muslim king to cast 900 votes. At that time, the Muslim king was talking so much about idolatry that Vivekananda could not tolerate. Suddenly, he saw an idol in his house. and he finds out that the statue is his father who died some years ago. He told the king that for spitting on that idol the king got very angry because it was his father’s idol which was not possible for him to spit at. Vivekananda tried to convince him that it was only an idol and not his father, so what was the problem in spitting on it. After hearing this, the king realized where his mistake was. That is, idol is not a disease made of stone or mud only, it is a belief of Hindus that through faith or through devotion they reach God, so those who gossip without deep knowledge of this matter are making a mistake and they do not know even own religion very well. Because no religion says to gossip about other religion because every religion teaches to respect each other and a little spread about religion who comes to talk about other religion without knowing anything they make a kind of mistake I can’t call it wrong what is it I say equal to sin. So, I will end this discussion by saying that Hindus worship idols only to make the path of God easy, it is not a superstition of theirs, Hindus also know that God is formless and there is no doubt about His vastness. It’s just them give help to constrate to formless God. But in Hinduism, if someone directly worships formless God without worshiping idols, that is Hinduism, welcome because there is no difference in the Hindu community, it only depends on one’s ability.
