Why is it not wrong if a man smokes but if a woman does the same thing it is a cause of guilt?.
I will share with you an incident that I thought I should share with you. While I was on duty I saw a lady working in another company smoking a cigarette. Seeing that, one of our company’s laborers said that the time is changing and the world is going towards destruction. I asked him why you are saying that. She said that it is never acceptable for girls to smoke cigarettes and it looks bad. Saying this the laborer left and I began to think about this matter in my solitary mind. First let me say that I personally do not support smoking , either male or female. But usually I find that when a man smokes no one says anything but when a woman smokes everyone protests. Intoxication of any kind is harmful to both men and women and is never acceptable so we should protest against both. But men have been taking drugs for a long time so we accept them but when we see a woman taking drugs we can’t accept it because it is wrong in our view. One thing I always say is that our society has not really become civilized yet their thoughts are not neutral.
