Usually, the cremation of the corpses of Kinnars takes place late at night. According to Gur Puran, Kinnars knows in advance when they will die. And before dying, they stop eating & drinking and go far away from public. When any Kinnar dies, the body is stripped completely, and various pujas are performed with that dead body. Not only that, but the body is also beaten with shoes & slippers. The reason behind they do it is they never want to get that body again in the coming life. They had to endure all the troubles while they were in that body. The dying kinnar prays to God with his best spiritual strength that he may not have to return to this world as a kinnar.
The cremation of a common man’s dead body’s done during the day but in their case, it takes place late at night. Even the dead bodies of common men are carried by lying but they carry their dead bodies with two legs erect. There are also a popular belief among common people is that if any normal human being observes the last rites of a kinnar, he has to born as a kinnar in the next life. That is why Kinnars perform their final rites of their corpses very secretly.
All the words that have been said above are common words in the human society. Although no one has verified their truth. Kinnars never wants to accept all the things. A kinnar as well as she is a public representative has explained what actually happened after the death of a kinnar. She said all the rumours about the dead body of a kinnar are false. according to her, there was a time when Kinnars were not allowed to cremate dead bodies in crematoriums or cemeteries, so they arranged for them at any place near their homes. But now world has accepted them so they do not do so. The Kinnars hold many common people in their kinship and are the ones who take the next step after the death. So they take the dead bodies from house to crematorium or cemetery (Depends on which religion she used to follow before death). So it is not possible foe ordinary people to know whether it is a dead body of a kinnar.
Such Kinnar public representative also said that, they never want bad of the people, but many people make fun of them so they angry and use slang but later they regret and ask God for forgiveness. In fact we forget that they are human being also, and they are like us so we should treat them with humanity which we fail to do.
